Heidi Watney is an American sportscaster who currently works for the MLB Network. She has previously worked for NESN, Time Warner Cable SportsNet, and Fox Sports West.

Watney was born in Fresno, California on May 19, 1981. She graduated from Clovis West High School in 2000 and then attended the University of San Diego, where she earned a degree in broadcast journalism.

Watney began her broadcasting career while still in college, working as a sideline reporter for XTRA Sports 690 AM in San Diego. After graduation, she became a news reporter and fill-in sports anchor for KSWB-TV in San Diego.

In 2005, Watney joined NESN as a sideline reporter for the Boston Red Sox. She remained with NESN until 2011 when she left to join Time Warner Cable SportsNet as a studio host and reporter.

In 2012, Watney joined Fox Sports West as a sideline reporter for the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. She remained with Fox Sports West until 2014 when she left to join the MLB Network.

Watney is married to Mike Wickham, director of the baseball operation. The couple has two children together.
