Amy Robach is an American television journalist. She is the co-anchor of ABC’s 20/20 and the newsmagazine show Nightline. She also reports for Good Morning America, World News Tonight, and This Week with George Stephanopoulos.

Robach began her career as a local news reporter in South Carolina before moving to MSNBC in 2003. She then joined NBC News in 2007, where she served as a correspondent and fill-in anchor on Today, NBC Nightly News, and Dateline NBC. In 2012, she moved to ABC News, where she has been the co-anchor of 20/20 since 2014. Robach has won several awards for her work, including an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award.

Early life

Robach was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on February 6, 1973. She is the daughter of Donyale Robach, a former fashion model, and Douglas Robach, a financial planner. Her parents divorced when she was two years old, and she was raised by her mother in Atlanta, Georgia.

Education

Robach graduated from Henry W. Grady High School in Atlanta in 1991. She then attended the University of Georgia, where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority and earned a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism in 1995.

Career

Robach began her career as a local news reporter for WLTX-TV in Columbia, South Carolina. She then moved to WAWS-TV in Jacksonville, Florida, where she was a morning news anchor and reporter.

In 2000, Robach joined NBC affiliate WTVJ-TV in Miami, Florida, where she was a reporter and weekend morning news anchor. In 2003, she joined MSNBC as a national correspondent.
