Her father was a Mexican man, and her mother had Ukrainian descent. Nevertheless, Alex turned out to be a successful woman entrepreneur who owns LADDS entertainment and OOLaLa production.
She married John H. Simpson in 2004, who is professionally an investor. The couple has a daughter together, and later they separated in 2015.
The young girl never thought of being an actress but eventually began taking acting classes after attending the seminar in Chicago. Her interest grew, and she joined the summer school to learn acting.
It was the turning point, and soon she received her modeling contract from Milan, Italy. After that, to polish her acting skills, she joined Lee Strasberg Institute in Los Angeles.
In the beginning, she got negative roles but later finally acquired her first comedy project in 1995 for Sherman Oaks.
