In a word, yes. But a lot of help is required for the US to qualify for the 2014 World Cup on Friday night.

First, obviously, the US has to win at Costa Rica. Something it has never done before in eight tries. So there’s that.

Second, Panama has to either tie or lose at home against Jamaica, which doesn’t look too likely as the reggae boyz haven’t been crushing it in qualifying so far (just two points total so far).

And third, Mexico and Honduras have to draw and draw alone in Mexico City tonight. No wins, no losses. Just a draw will do.

So there you have it. All the more reason to be scoreboard-watching while tuned in to beIN Sport at 10 p.m. ET tonight.
